Greetings from the Clinton Foundation

This
summer is going to be a busy time for
President Clinton and the Clinton Foundation.
President Clinton just returned from Haiti,
where he announced the Foundation will give
$1 million for disaster preparedness and
hurricane safety as hurricane season
approaches and many Haitians are still
displaced after the January earthquake. And
this week he travels to South America, where
he will visit Foundation projects that are
empowering people, alleviating poverty, and
improving health.
You can read about all this and more --
including the newest Entrepreneurial
Mentorship program and our latest
Spend-a-Day winner -- in this edition of the
Clinton Foundation eNewsletter.

in Rwanda

Rwandan farmer Gracienne Mahoro recently
built a new house. That is just one of the
improvements to his home and community he
has seen since the Clinton Hunter
Development Initiative helped him and other
farmers plant cassava, maize, and trees.

WHAT
DO YOU THINK?
Some experts believe that if obesity among
kids continues to increase at this rate, our
current generation could become the FIRST in
American history to live shorter lives than
their parents. What are you doing to stay
healthy this summer?
• Exercising more
• Including more fresh fruits
and vegetables in my diet
• Cutting down portion size
• Limiting processed foods
