      IN CASE YOU MISSED IT
Last week President Clinton convened the Clinton Global Initiative Mid-Year Meeting in New York to highlight some of the powerful stories from among hundreds of CGI commitments that are making a difference around the world. The meeting also featured people who shared their own stories of how their lives have been changed by commitments CGI helped inspire, including Zethu, a young AIDS orphan from South Africa who has committed to helping other orphans in her community.

To date, CGI has inspired more than 570 commitments, with more than $10 billion invested to help 1,000 organizations impact lives in 100 countries.

      EARTH DAY AT THE LIBRARY
This past weekend, the Clinton Presidential Center celebrated Earth Day in a big way, hosting the Arkansas Earth Day Foundation’s statewide festival. More than 7,500 people gathered at the Center in downtown Little Rock to enjoy live entertainment, art, food and “green” tours of the facility, which is the only Presidential Library to receive certification from the U.S. Green Building Council.

The Clinton Foundation is committed to fighting climate change on a global level year-round through the Clinton Climate Initiative (CCI), which is working with 40 of the largest cities around the world to help reduce greenhouse gas emissionsGet more information on CCI - CLICK HERE
