- was a great succes..
The whole charity event went fantastic.
It was held at the prestigious Pacific City Cl - and about 130 people attended. The painting on the label looked beautiful and the special numbered bottles for silent auction were well presented.
7:45 Wenja our daughter (blond in wht dress) and her friend Valaya (blk haired in blk dress) presented the painting walking down the stairs with the very dramatic and powerful tune from Vangelis-"Light and Shadow" .
It was very effective and touching. Then the painting was put on the easel near Khun Kamala the auctioneer who sang a jazz song about the wine and art before the auction started. It was a great and different start.
She was going to up 20.000,-thb at the time starting from 100.000,-.thb as none of us had expected it to jump up in 100'ds like it did!!!
It went from 120, straight to 300, 400, 500....700, 720 andit ended at 750.000,-.!!!! A supporter of the cancer center and a good costumer of mine - who couldn't attend that evening said he will donate 25% of the final price. On top of that we had few others who wanted to donate. Together with the wine silent auction of the special numbers bottles -and wine sale - we managed to raise 1.330.000,- Thb, (200.000,-Kr) all for the Queen Sirikit Breast Cancer Center!!!"
